Torrentflux b4rt

Postby stern88 » Thu Oct 13, 2011 9:26 am

Hi!

I've tested Torrentflux b4rt and this is the result:

Tested:
installing torrentflux: works

downloads with bittornado: works, but the user has to open ports!
downloads with transmissioncli: works without opening ports (UPnP), but the user has to build the transmissioncli

Code: Select all

Port Forwarding (NAT-PMP): initnatpmp succeeded (0) Port Forwarding (NAT-PMP): sendpublicaddressrequest succeeded (2) Port Forwarding (UPnP): Found Internet Gateway Device "http://172.31.2.1:1780/control?WANIPConnection" Port Forwarding (UPnP): Local Address is "172.31.2.5" Port Forwarding (UPnP): Port forwarding through "http://172.31.2.1:1780/control?WANIPConnection", service "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANIPConnection:1". (local address: 172.31.2.5:49160) Port Forwarding (UPnP): Port forwarding successful! Port Forwarding: State changed from "Not forwarded" to "Forwarded" Port Forwarding: Opened port 49160 on :: to listen for incoming peer connections Port Forwarding: Opened port 49160 on 0.0.0.0 to listen for incoming peer connections
At next the user has to choose transmission for downloading their torrents.

Uncompressing files with unrar: works
sfv-check: works
creating torrents: works
downloading folders as tar: works

streaming medias: doesnt work. But i have the same problem with a manually installed tf-b4rt on my ubuntu-server. Maybe its a problem of port allocation, but I'm not sure. I use other programs for streaming like mediatomb.
rss-torrents: works
rss-stats: works
Create/edit/delete profiles: works

cheers
stern

EDIT:

some packages are missing:

perl-XML-LibXML
perl-Digest-SHA1
perl-XML-Simple
perl-XML-DOM
and mybe python-crypto for transport encryption
unrar
cksfv
vlc

tested on: Fedora 14

stern88,

I made some updates to Torrentflux-b4rt to accommodate results from your feedback. I also have added the custom transmissioncli that the app requires. Please try the install again and report findings here.

Thanks!

OK, I have removed torrentflux-b4rt by doing this steps:

Amahi Dashboard -> Login (as Admin) -> Apps -> Installed -> click on tf-b4rt -> uninstall

At next I've checked some installed packages:

Code: Select all

[root@amahi administrator]# rpm -q perl-XML-Simple unrar cksfv uudeview vlc perl-XML-LibXML perl-Digest-SHA1 perl-XML-Simple perl-XML-DOM unrar cksfv uudeview vlc Das Paket perl-XML-Simple ist nicht installiert unrar-3.9.10-3.fc14.x86_64 cksfv-1.3.14-1.fc12.x86_64 uudeview-0.5.20-19.fc12.x86_64 vlc-1.1.11-1.fc14.x86_64 Das Paket perl-XML-LibXML ist nicht installiert Das Paket perl-Digest-SHA1 ist nicht installiert Das Paket perl-XML-Simple ist nicht installiert Das Paket perl-XML-DOM ist nicht installiert unrar-3.9.10-3.fc14.x86_64 cksfv-1.3.14-1.fc12.x86_64 uudeview-0.5.20-19.fc12.x86_64 vlc-1.1.11-1.fc14.x86_64 [root@amahi administrator]#
"ist nicht installiert" means is not installed. At next I've installed tf-b4rt and checked again:

Code: Select all

[root@amahi ~]# rpm -q perl-XML-Simple unrar cksfv uudeview vlc perl-XML-LibXML perl-Digest-SHA1 perl-XML-Simple perl-XML-DOM unrar cksfv uudeview vlc perl-XML-Simple-2.18-7.fc14.noarch unrar-3.9.10-3.fc14.x86_64 cksfv-1.3.14-1.fc12.x86_64 uudeview-0.5.20-19.fc12.x86_64 vlc-1.1.11-1.fc14.x86_64 perl-XML-LibXML-1.70-5.fc14.x86_64 perl-Digest-SHA1-2.12-4.fc14.x86_64 perl-XML-Simple-2.18-7.fc14.noarch perl-XML-DOM-1.44-8.fc14.noarch unrar-3.9.10-3.fc14.x86_64 cksfv-1.3.14-1.fc12.x86_64 uudeview-0.5.20-19.fc12.x86_64 vlc-1.1.11-1.fc14.x86_64 [root@amahi ~]#
It seems like "

Code: Select all

Installing package dependencies ...
" works.

Log in tf-b4rt and trying transmissioncli:

I noticed that transmissioncli is NOT the default client (-> description?)

UPnP works (but - of course - its necessary to activate it manually in the router settings. please note that in the description):

Code: Select all

Transmission at 49160 Yes 49160 49160 172.31.2.5 TCP Transmission at 49161 Yes 49161 49161 172.31.2.5 TCP Transmission at 49162 Yes 49162 49162 172.31.2.5 TCP

Awesome...so it works correctly now. Might be a good idea to add some guidance to the wiki regarding these settings you mentioned. There is a page already in place located at:

http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/TorrentFlux-b4rt

Thanks for the feedback.

What about adding my absolutly-favourite theme "red round"? It looks really nice! I cant find it currently in the internet, but i found "blue round". Could you add it to tf-b4rt-doc-root/themes and chown it?

Some more inforamtions about blue round:

Finally I found RedRound. Please add it (by copying the files to tf-b4rt-doc-root/themes/RedRound and chown). Its IMHO the most beautiful theme for tf-b4rt!

Hello,

Due to the amount of depends in the application now, I am a bit reluctant to add any additional downloads to the application. How about we add the links to the wiki page with guidance for users to download on their own. If you could do that part, I would greatly appreciate it.

http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/TorrentFlux-b4rt

This will ensure the app remains stable and for those who want the themes, then can grab them. For those who do not, they won't. Also, we need to download the theme files and host them on Amahi.

I have added a pointer in the Special Instructions for the app to the wiki indicating the availability of additional themes.

Hi,

yes I can do that. But currently I cant modify the wiki, because:

Code: Select all

You do not have permission to edit pages. reason: Your login name or your IP address has been blocked. Blocking was performed by Cpg. Spamming has been given as a reason left to external sites. Beginning of the block: 09:44, 12th September 2011 End of the lock: Unlimited Barring affects: stern88
I'm blocked despite I have never modified any wiki article...

In case I get the permission I can write in german and english

Ok, I can help you there. No need to write in German as the wiki should have translation. Try now and lemme know if you can access. Also, recommend you change your password as your account could have been compromised.

Hmm.. Would be annoying. My ISP changes my IP just one time per week. So in case different ips access to my account I should change my password.
Also, we need to download the theme files and host them on Amahi.
Where can I upload the files (~1MB)? Would be great in case the user can access the files with wget
