Installing squeezeboxserver on F14

Postby jayrock » Sun Feb 06, 2011 1:10 pm

Squeezeboxserver does not run out of the box on F14. Here is how I got it working:

- Download the latest rpm package (tested with squeezeboxserver-7.6.0-0.1.31878.noarch.rpm)

- Follow the suggestions http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost. ... ount=85%22 and put http://www.vacuumtube.org.uk/ssp/64/libssp.so.0.0.0 into /lib64

- as root: "yum install cpan"

- as root: "cpan CGI:Cookie"

- as root: service squeezeboxserver restart

Are you using the 64-bit version of Fedora 14? I did not think that 64-bit was supported by Amahi?

Hi,

sorry I didn't see your post until just now. Not sure what you mean, I installed from the x86_64 iso of Fedora 14.

Code: Select all

uname -r 2.6.35.10-74.fc14.x86_64
I don't see how 64 bit OS would be related to the hick-up I encountered?
