I have been trying to find some sort of software to trans-code .mkv files to my xbox360 and blu-ray player.
I would love to test this out and give you as much feedback as possible.
Thank you for your time.

frankhaas, smartstradamus and Irritus: you're all added to the testers-list.

Please test it and report your findings (including possible changes you've made).

I took all the note as I was testing everything:

Installation took a tad longer than most applications I have installed, which made me think it was hanging, but I just let it sit and it installed just fine.

After installation it was simple to add directories to the database using either the filesystem tab or the auto scan.

Via Windows Media Player, I can access MediaTomb good.
Via Xbox 360, I cannot see MediaTomb in anyway.
Via Sony Blu-Ray Player, I cannot see MediaTomb in anyway.

Has anyone had success with the consoles before?

Has anyone got this to work with Xbox 360?

I had no problems at all with the installation.

One thing I noticed is that I was unable to fast-forward and reverse through videos as I was able to do with DLNA.
I'm not sure what part of the configuration would impact this, but I'm trying to look into it. If anyone else knows please let me know.

I also need to look at the transcoding documentation and get that setup. I have a bunch of m2ts files from my camcorder that I will need to transcode to play on some devices in my apartment.

One issue I have to report is the following:

If I am running DLNA and stop it, then start mediatomb, then stop mediatomb and restart DLNA, the DLNA server will not restart unless I reboot the machine.

I guess some kind of process is getting locked that prevents the DLNA process from restarting properly.
