Hi!
Would you like to help test this new platform before wider release?
http://alpha.amahi.org/tmp/hda-platform ... noarch.rpm
Has a new setting called "Guest dashboard" ... (among other smaller fixes):

Re: Time to test a new platform! Guest dashboard, WOL, etc.
Installed and appears to be working great!
Is there any plans to have apps configurable for the guest dashboard? For example, be able to control which apps a guest can see/access. This would be a great addition for users as well.
Not trying to make more work, but I recall this being requested before and did not know if it was on the radar.

require login for app access is a topic that it's not managed through the web interface. see that link for instructions on how to do it.
we could add some of this. it's a fair bit of work, and it would only work on webapps (other apps, say amahitunes, DLNA) which do not get interfaced via a web interface would not be protected. however it would be a good start.
it's an interesting feature and it's doable. maybe we can add it in the amahi 6 release, since we do have per-user settings support on that.
