When I install IPsec everything seems OK but the secret code is blank I have followed the instructions to change it but I get a message saying I do t have permission.

Openvpn is totally different I install this and the server never goes active I have read and followed every piece of documentation but no luck, very disappointed when I have had to pay for both of them

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Are you using the latest stable release, #Amahi 9 on Fedora 23?

Please provide the URL for:

Code: Select all

apaste --sysinfo
What documentation are you following? It would be helpful if we knew what guidance you used.

I presume you forwarded port 1194 on your router, correct?

Apologies for the lack of info i was on the train to work

https://da.gd/NABL -> https://paste.fedoraproject.org/paste/4 ... ivL9gydE=/

yes i forwarded the port the openvpn server just never starts and always shows as stopped.

With IPSec it appears to be running fine but doesnt provide me with the secret code it just shows as blank

No worries.

See bug 1910 for details. Also are you using the new certificates? They are available in the #Amahi wiki from the OpenVPN Client Certificates page.

You might want to check out the IPsec VPN wiki page. I don't use this, so will need to do more research.
