When I install IPsec everything seems OK but the secret code is blank I have followed the instructions to change it but I get a message saying I do t have permission.
Openvpn is totally different I install this and the server never goes active I have read and followed every piece of documentation but no luck, very disappointed when I have had to pay for both of them

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Are you using the latest stable release, #Amahi 9 on Fedora 23?
Please provide the URL for:
What documentation are you following? It would be helpful if we knew what guidance you used.
I presume you forwarded port 1194 on your router, correct?

No worries.

See
bug 1910 for details. Also are you using the new certificates? They are available in the #Amahi wiki from the
OpenVPN Client Certificates page.

You might want to check out the
IPsec VPN wiki page. I don't use this, so will need to do more research.
