IPSec and Android

Postby SafeZone » Sun Jul 20, 2014 9:51 pm

Hi All,

I have some issue with connecting to my HDA using IPSec and Android phone. I did set up my VPN as per Wiki. I can even conect to my HDA. However once I open my web browser it gets disconnected. If I am very quick I am able to put my internal address and connect to HDA control panel but after while it is disconnected again.

I have a filling that every time my device is requesting any packets from internet IPSec VPN gets disconneted.

Any ideas where to have a look? What the issue might be?

I have not done any traffic routing in HDA. Just installed IPSec app and try to connect.

What version of Amahi/OS?

Check log files in /var/log directory for errors.

I am using Amahi 7 on Fedora. Instalation from Experess CD.

Not sure how to check logs. I did install VNC so I can access cmd window but it does not work. I have not had a chance to look at it yet.

Could this be your issue?
Make sure your HDA's network IP range is different than that of the remote network. (e.g. if your HDA's IP address is 192.168.1.X, you cannot connect to it on a remote network also using 192.168.1.X)
Quoted from the wiki OpenVPN troubleshooting page.
