Was working before i updated.

OpenVPN is installed but not showing up on Amahi Dash, not sure if its suppose too.

Found it was disabled so i enabled via

systemctl enable openvpn.amahi.service - which was fine

i tried to start it but got errors so checked it's status and got this

Code: Select all

[root@localhost /]# systemctl status openvpn@amahi.service openvpn@amahi.service - OpenVPN Robust And Highly Flexible Tunneling Application On amahi Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/openvpn@.service; enabled) Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Sat 2014-02-08 01:20:10 LHST; 4min 15s ago Process: 17802 ExecStart=/usr/sbin/openvpn --daemon --writepid /var/run/openvpn/%i.pid --cd /etc/openvpn/ --config %i.conf (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE) Feb 08 01:20:10 localhost.localdomain systemd[1]: Starting OpenVPN Robust And Highly Flexible Tunneling Application On amahi... Feb 08 01:20:10 localhost.localdomain systemd[1]: openvpn@amahi.service: control process exited, code=exited status=1 Feb 08 01:20:10 localhost.localdomain systemd[1]: Failed to start OpenVPN Robust And Highly Flexible Tunneling Application On amahi. Feb 08 01:20:10 localhost.localdomain systemd[1]: Unit openvpn@amahi.service entered failed state.
checked /etc/openvpn but no .conf file in there its all empty.

Uninstalled it via yum and reinstalled it same thing.

Any thoughts? anyone got a working conf file?

Really need this working as i'm off to Korea on Sunday and need access to all my electrical design diagrams.

Did you install the Amahi OpenVPN app?

https://www.amahi.org/apps/openvpn

Should not manually install using YUM. The app will put all the appropriate pieces in place.

My Amahi install had openvpn already installed but was not working, i uninstalled and reinstalled it via yum, after some messing around setting up conf files and easy-rsa i actually got HDAconnect to work but i could not see my server or shares.

I had openvpn fully working before i updated to amahi 7, i checked last night the app link from your last post but there was no link to install it nor was a link in my apps from the dashboard. i returned to the link this morning there was a link to buy the app. If OpenVPN is a paid app and i had it working before surely i bought it previously.

Anyways i bought the app, uninstalled the yum install of openvpn and easy-rsa and installed the one-click app and modified the amahi.conf file to reflect my network (or i hope i did) and i'm in the same position, i can get HDAConnect to work but can't seem my network or shares, can't even connect to dashboard like i'd use too.

Router has 1194 forwarded to my server, turned off all firewalls to test and still nothing.

I'm stumpped going to drink beer lol

Any thoughts

just checked HDAconnect log anf found this

Code: Select all

ROUTE default_gateway=192.168.0.1
my gateway 192.168.1.1

but i dont remember see anything in the conf file to set the default gateway

unfortunately i've left home and can't check the conf file /cry

oh well back to drinking beer

That would be the issue most likely. I was not aware the OpenVPN app was a pay app. I just checked from my account and did not see anything indicating that.

Will have to ask about it I guess.

Sorry you didn't get it working in time. Hope you enjoy your trip.

I'm also unable to find the OpenVPN install link. I have paid for this app in the past, and now I'm not finding it on the list of available apps where you should be able to see it in the normal 'available apps' section.... Any idea why multiple people are unable to see OpenVPN all of a sudden?

Hm.. disregard my last post. After signing in I can see that this is now showing a link to purchase for $4.99. I am pretty sure i paid for this in the past but oh well, I will fork over the additional $5 if it means we keep this app 'supported'

Yes the key is to log in to the web site. If you think you purchased the app for an older version of Amahi, please email support.
