I want to be able to mount a friend's window's share on my windows machine. My friend has a vpn connection to my amahi VPN and he can ping all the machines on my network, but we just discovered I can't ping him.
Is this possible?

If he's running a windows machine trying to ping your machines.. .hmmm..
I'm 95% sure Windows 7 has ICMP packets disabled by default (hinders ability to ping)
See if that it the cause... it's a Windows feature to enable from control panel.
Also ensure both of your networks have no conflicting IP subnets.
