Windows 7 client

I am having no success reaching my home server thru Shrewsoft client VPN and IPsecVPN installed on my HDA. I'm trying from work where we only have W7 machines. I get the "negotiation timeout" error every time. I have disabled Microsoft Wifi Adapter as recommended on Shrew support site, with no luck.
Has anyone else managed to get W7 to work? I don't know if it could be my workplace router setting too?

Could be a firewall or proxy issue. This often happens at work locations. Recommend you verify with your local IT department.

This is firewall issue.I use a 3d party device that both works as a Firewall, switch, accesspoint and a 3gmodem to solve this problem.

I successfully use the Shrewsoft client on my Windows 7 (x64) laptop from work, so it does sound like it is a firewall issue. Testing VPN access is complicated by not being able to do so at home - I end up using a mobile data connection to test it with, as you cannot test it from the home network.

The other thing to check is that there is not an overlap of IP addresses between home and work. If your home network is on 192.168.1.x and work is also on 192.168.1.x the connection will fail. I discovered early on that it is worth avoiding the obvious IP addresses for my home network(s) to avoid VPN complications.
