Multiple Users outside network

Postby mciv » Wed Jul 25, 2012 6:17 pm

I'm probably missing something but before spending too much time thought I'd reach out. I have an Amahi server running at a small private school. They would like students to be able to access files outside of the school. I need a quick painless way to do this. I was able to forward port 80 to the HDA and then setup extplorer to load without connecting VPN. This is what I was shooting for but the problem is no data shows up in any user other than admin on extplorer. i would really like a seemless way to create the web based access for each user on their home directory as well as shared directories. Anyone have any insight into what I'm missing?

You are better off using OpenVPN ALS. Its a clientless VPN which allows you to set users, permissions to folders, etc.

http://www.amahi.org/apps/openvpn-als

Since it is clientless, all you need is a browser and forward the app port to 443.
