VPN: The L2TP-VPN server did not respond.

Dear all,

I am a newbie in Amahi even though I spent lots of time on it. And I tried many many times with IPsec VPN according to the wiki, and set up Macbook, iPod touch, iPad 3, but none of them worked!!!!

The error message is below:

The L2TP-VPN server did not respond. Try reconnecting. IF the problem continues, verify your settings and contact your Administrator.

*************************************************************
So frustrated!!

Facts:

Amahi installed successfully. Amahi energy saver and other apps working fine.

Router: Apple airport extreme port mapping settings as follow:

Public UDP Ports: 500, 4500
Public TCP Ports: 500, 4500
Private IP Address: 10.0.1.11
Public UDP Ports: 500, 4500
Public TCP Ports: 500, 4500
**************************************************************
The HDA is located in my house, but I use my macbook to connect from outside through my cell phone's hotspot.

Any suggestion or clue are appreciated!

Update:

Okay. Thank God! The Macbook is working now:

I found that problem that I follow the wrong topic - I should use Ipsec VPN setting for Mac OS X, not iOS.

But the one from iPod Touch is still not working.
