I am trying to use OpenVPN ALS but I cannot get the agent to work.

Here's my setup:
Windows 7 64bit
jre 7 64bit

See the attached photo. It occurs when I try to connect the agent. I am using "username.yourhda.com:4443" as the UserName and the password for the HDA Amahi account as the password.

Is there a firewall in place that might be causing an issue. Also this is app specific, so you would need to check with the vendor.

It has worked fine for me in the past. Maybe its a Java issue. Could be many things.

I have tried it on several different computers with different versions of Windows (xp, vista & 7 [32 & 64 bit]). I still get the same messages.

Not sure what the issue could be. I just tested it and works fine on my Win 7 machine. It might have something to do with your port forward. Change it from external port 4443 to 443 and see if that helps.

If it still does not work, then suggest you check their app forums. I will tell you that development has ceased for this app, however I see forums traffic on their site quite frequently. Its nothing Amahi related, so not much we can do to help.

I do not have SSL-certificate fixed yet.
1. Could that be causing something like this?
2. I have seen several explanations on the net on how to remedy the need for an SSL-certificate. Which one worked for you?

Re-read you post:

Change the port where? How?

Here's weird. I can get to the shares on HDA#2 using Hdaconnect (which uses port 1194) but I cannot even get the client agent to connect for OpenVPN. Any thoughts?
