Running OpenVPN on my router rather than my HDA

Postby rbmattis » Thu Jun 30, 2011 9:28 pm

So my Router is a WNR-3500L running dd-wrt with OpenVPN. When I'm operating remotely, I'd like to route all my traffic through the VPN and access the internet via my home internet connection. I'd also like to be able to access all the services on my HDA (mostly samba shares, DLNA, and Sabnzbd). Do I need to use TAP mode in OpenVPN if I want to access my HDA's DLNA shares or is it possible to make TUN work. TUN is easier to set up I gather.

thanks,
