VPN connection fails

Postby xutkm » Mon Feb 16, 2009 9:04 am

I have just moved from WHS to Amahi and I'm in trouble. I'm trying to get the VPN connection to work. On my Windows client I get this log when trying to connect:

Mon Feb 16 17:00:33 2009 IMPORTANT: OpenVPN's default port number is now 1194, based on an official port number assignment by IANA. OpenVPN 2.0-beta16 and earlier used 5000 as the default port.

Mon Feb 16 17:00:33 2009 TLS: Initial packet from 81.233.117.224:1194, sid=b26254c3 42fa5c5a

I don't know what to do! Help please!

if it's vista please try the latest openvpn client and configure it "by hand", as it where. just like the linux and mac clients.

(note - it's the 2.1_rc15 -- released on 2008.11.19 or later).

if the server is 64 bits, there is small bug you can fix by hand http://bugs.amahi.org/issues/show/16

what does the server log say? (in /var/log/messages)
My HDA: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz on MSI board, 8GB RAM, 1TBx2+3TBx1
