VPN connection with Network Manager plugin (Ubuntu)

Postby xen » Tue Jan 20, 2009 7:29 am

Er, connecting with Network Manager VPN plugin actually didn't work well as I found out later. The green coloured settings are the ones that I could implement with the plugin, the red ones are those which I have no idea how to turn them on. Could anybody give me a clue how to get this thing working?

This is configuration of the config file from Amahi wiki:

remote XYZ.yourhda.com 1194

client
dev tun
proto udp
resolv-retry infinite
nobind
persist-key
persist-tun

ca ca-cert.crt
cert AmahiHDAClient.crt
key AmahiHDAClient.key
comp-lzo
verb 3

auth-user-pass

Here are the options given in the NM OpenVPN client plugin:

how is this going xen?
(sorry for the belated reply)

if the same (or close) openvpn version is being used, then the settings you are using should work just fine.

however, please locate the configuration file that this utility generates and change the settings in red!

there is also the part that says import saved configuration. maybe you can generate one by hand from the settings you have printed here and then import it?
