Hello all

I have a problem with VPN:

1- I have check everything in the local network from other pc on same network and on the amahi server
1.1 - From all pc on local network i can ping internal ip like amahi server our router.
1.2 - From all pc on local network i can ping external ip our names like google.com
1.3 - From amahi server i can ping router our external ip our names like goole.com
1.4 - From all pc included amahi server i can access to all web applications installed on amahi server from my local domain name webapplication.localdomain.com

2- I log on without any problem whit my credentials true the vpn version3 .
2.1- when i do a log on appears a pop-up whit ip address 10.8.0.6
2.2- from client side i have checked the configuration using ipconifg /all and i receive the following on bellow:
IP address:10.8.0.6
GW: without anything
DHCP: 10.8.0.5
DNS: 192.168.2.10 (is the ip addres from my amahi server)

3- I have the amahi server working was my dhcp and dns server
3.1- I already restart my amahi server and my router

The problems: from the client side i can't access to "\\hda" or "\\192.168.2.10" "ip amahi server" share or access to the web apliccation like http://webapplication.localdomain.com or http://192.168.2.10 access to the hda config page.

can anyone help me with this problem

I think your vpn creates a tunnel into your work set-up, whereby the 'home network' gets excluded.
If you can access it have a look in your contact settings. I assume that your home network (192.168.***) has not been excluded from the proxy server settings. I have exactly the same with my employer set-up, but have excluded my home network and now can use the local printers etc.
If you need more, let me know and I'll get you a step-by-step of what I did. YMMV however.

I should have followed up on this before. We tested kaneco's vpn from a client that was known to work and it all seemed to work ok.

My only suggestion is to check the network ranges so that the originating network and the destination network do not match, which I believe can confuse OpenVPN.

this would be good, actually. rarely only one user needs a special solution, so sharing it will help.

One other thing, for the more advanced network experts out here there is this page on VPN bridging, which consists on making your vpn connection even have IPs in the same range as the home network, bridging every packet, making your VPN connection even more integrated into your network.

I have discovered the problem with my vpn, the problem was caused by the network metric configuration, when i made the vpn connection, i was using a laptop from the company, as the metric of the internal network was configured to give preference to the internal network when i connect the vpn i'am not able to reach my network from vpn access, i already tested with the CPG and other computers on now is working properly.
