Ok I used user agent switcher and set my user agent to IE8, restarted FF but no difference. I will contact over the weekend someone else I know with an Amahi server and see if they are having the same issue.

It's really annoying when it did work and then it stops working, but hey such is life

If it does not change in the agent reporting site, it means the ISP or some firewall/proxy is doing it. It will mess with you in subtle ways for other sites too (like not displaying the right css/JS for your browser).

It is annoying. We checked logs in the dyndns system and it was working at one point, but then looks like it stopped.

This would require some change in our dynamic dns system. You can file a bug, but it may be a little while before we get to it. Sorry, we don't have a staff :(

Just to update this, my control panel still says my server is stopped even though it isn't and I have never been able to get the VPN to work.

Just a couple of niggles that bug me, am really happy with everything else about the project though

Sorry to hear VPN is not working for you. I believe there is guidance in the wiki about changing the port that you might try.

http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/VPN_troubleshooting

Although it is nice to see the status of the HDA as running, seems irrelevant what is reported on the web site as long as it is working. Most rarely log into the web site once their HDA is operational unless they need to purchase apps or create a new HDA profile.

I can understand the inop VPN being frustrating, especially if the ISP is blocking it. Does not give you many options. You might consider checking with your ISP. I have heard some with a similar problem were able to get the port unblocked by asking.

Just a thought.

So I take it your problems were caused by the ISP and/or router?
