hmm I read something about a network TAP adapter being disabled when you get this message. Could you check in your network settings if everything looks OK?

I think my settings are ok I can connect to my hda on my xp computer on the network (i want to connect at work just tried xp on network because it was there) but no other computer will connect. not even on home network. I port forward the router 1194 start and 1194 end udp and 192.168.1.10 for the ip unblocked the port on firewall as well. kinda lost as well would it help to just start all over get new id and re-install?

if you can connect via vpn with one computer (which i understand), it would seem that your server is ok. no need to reinstall!

i have a vista box that i use all the time (i "froze" it once it became stable and never updated with latest updates) and it works, however, i am not sure how to debug these issues in vista :(

also, some of us in the Amahi IRC channel often test other users's VPNs for them, if you are OK with letting someone in briefly (by creating a temporary user).

i think i found my problem. on my xp it created a local connection2 and it connects to server (hdaconnect dose this). know on my vista computer when i install hdaconnect it will not set up this local connection 2. is there any way to set it up manually. and by the way my vista is a 64bit donno if that makes a differance. thanks tk79546
