VPN not working after reboot

Yesterday I purchase and installed the OpenVPN app and open the UDP port tested and everything was working fine, today I rebooted the HDA and the VPN service wont start anymore, I follow the steps in this 2 post:

But got nothing, When I use the comand

I also tried to uninstall the OpenVPN app from the dashbord, but it keeps "Preparing to uninstall ..." forever and never does anything
Does anybody knows what can I do?

Please submit a bug report. Include the details from the post. We will do our best to help you resolve this problem.

It should be the same user/pass as in the Amahi.org right?

That is correct. BTW, have you installed OS updates? Is the app still installed? Did you check the install log at /var/log/amahi-app-installer.log?

Sorry to Hi-Jack this thread but no point starting another.

Has this issue been resolved?

I know a bug fix has been issues over a year ago and few people have had the same issue but can't find a conclusion to this problem.

running "chmod 755 -R /var/run/openvpn" fix's the issue but is there some way of adding the command to the ExecStartPre= of the systemd file openvpn@.service?

This should have been fixed for Amahi 7. I have had no issues.

If not, a bug needs to be submitted or we cannot do much to diagnose.

I've just had the same problem. couldn't connect via VPN, server status in dashboard shown as not running but
systemctl status openvpn\@amahi.service
shows status as active,
Ran
chmod 755 -R /var/run/openvpn
Now dashboard status running after refresh status.
This is a brand new install of 7.1 express only 2 weeks ago.

PS I'm a learning newbie, so explain please how I submit logs etc.

You can submit logs using fpaste:

fpaste /var/log/amahi-app-installer.log

It will provide a URL that you can include in the bug.
