I want to be able to access my file server from outside the network (in fact it's one of the main reasons I built it - to be able to have 24/7 access to my files without leaving my power-hungry desktop on all the time). Currently the server has TeamViewer installed so that I can do whatever with it (updates, greyhole commands, etc.) and unfortunately this is preventing HDAConnect from working because it uses port 80.
Now, I could just use TeamViewer to transfer files too but TeamViewer is usually slow at file transfers (160 kB/s typically, whereas my home internet connection can manage over 1 MB/s upload). Is there anything I can do to have both of these programs running simultaneously? I did see a post or two about changing the port that TeamViewer uses but it was for Windows (it involves registry edits and options that simply don't exist in the Linux version of the program).
Another option I thought of is to set up the file server to act as an FTP host (and I can get the IP address from the Amahi Control Panel if it ever changes) but I have no idea how to do this.
Any ideas or suggestions?
TeamViewer blocks HDAConnect. Other options?
