MythTV Backend update

One of the things I am interested in is MythTV, as many of you in our community.
As Amahi is a server, the more "proper" thing to do is to focus on the mythtv backend. We have had a Mythtv backend for a while and we have in in beta in Amahi 5.
I had looked at MythTV a while back (and before that I used it for a long time before). Last year I looked and it was not quite ready for primetime. I decided to take an in depth look at MythTV today.
It ain't pretty:
Pros:
- The screen quality is MOST excellent, even better than before, if it's possible
- The effects in the on screen menu are really very very nice
- New themes (nice)
- Lots of new features, like getting icons for stations easily, etc.
Cons:
- Lots of new features
- Setup is quite a nightmare, at least with my HDHomeRun, with manual mapping of channels to the guide (this may be different with other hardware)
- Mythweb has not improved much lately, though some setup can be done on it, which is nice
MythTV is such a nice project, ... though the complexity is still high ...
