TorrentFlux is basically dead

TorrentFlux is basically dead. Only the Mininova search engine works. Apparently the original coders changed the output formatting and never updated any of the other search engine files to match. Then I see they abandoned the project. Why would Amahi not screen these applications better - I've wasted a lot of time fidgeting with this stuff. If it doesn't work properly then don't include - it reflects badly on the Amahi project. I've had this problem with other APPS included with Amahi 5.0 - not good.

sorry that you feel that you wasted a lot of time :(

amahi is open source, free and we all rely on the community contributions to keep things up. with a limited amount of hands to throw at things, it's hard to check that many applications.

we are being pressured all the time for new apps. we would like to test them faster.

how you can help:

- consider a donation (chose the paypal button)
- share amahi with friends and your neighborhood linux groups
- become a application contributor
- become a tester or
- become a code contributor
- lead or help with marketing
- develop a theme
- file and maintain bugs
- thanks the community by sending a thank you note here in the forums
- ... or suggest how can the community enable you to do more

in this case you probably should file a bug and we attach it to the app, so that the packager of the app know about it.

there is also torrentflux-b4rt, which seems to be maintained.
