List of installed applications keeps on changing

Everytime I logon to my HDA's console, I see a new list of applications. Yesterday, all of them were installed ! I spent the whole day uninstalling those that do not interest me; but today the new list is filled with applications I uninstalled yeterday !

Hmm, what do you mean?
There are two groups of apps - those that are not installed (available to install), and installed apps (which you can install).
There are two separate submenus from Setup -> Applications.
Does that help?
Or ... perhaps you can clarify?

I want to have these apps running on my hda, as a start:
phpMyAdmin
phpMyBackup
Torrentflux
WebVNC
So, I installed these apps one by one from the HDA/Applications/Available menu.
On the first day, it worked OK and these apps appeared on the HDA's Dashboard (Home).
The next day, all of the apps appeared on my dashboard and on the Applications/Installed menu.
So I uninstalled them one by one except for those I needed.
The next day, on my dashboard I see:
Gallery2
TCExam
OpenDB
and none of the apps I left the previous day !
I really don't understand how these apps could have been installed.

if you did not do it maybe someone else did?
did you by any chance open up port 80 to the wide world?

Yes I did because I wanted to host a webserver on my hda.
I'll close this port for now.
