hi,

i have installed Transmission, and set up my \\torrent share. I can get to the page http://transmission but that seems to be it. I cant click open to add any torrents, nor can i click on preferences etc. The only thing i can do it get to the page.

Does anyone have ideas what might be the problem?i've tried uninstalling/reinstalling

we are experiencing issues with transmission and permissions. check the transmission page in the wiki for the details on fixing the permission issues.

Hi guys

Did the permissions thing with Transmission get reviewed. I find it difficult to move downloaded files around and change permissions as they are all owned by the transmission user group by default. Is there any way of changing this as default so that I can move and delete files a bit easier?

I followed the instructions on the wikki page but I am getting permission errors when trying to download the torrent. I dropped it into the share folder; Transmission grabbed it but gave the permission error when it tried to download. I also tried to manually upload to Transmission with the same results. Any ideas???????

I solved the problem I had by using a chmod command on the download folder. Have to do it each time a new torrent finishes but it is worth it.
