phpMyAdmin install problems

Postby rgmhtt » Wed Sep 30, 2009 9:53 am

I just rebuilt my server. I am logged in root (after changing /etc/pam.d/gdm)

My first AMAHI task was to enable advance settings and disable openVPN and DHCPD (neither needed on this server).

Next task was installing phpMyAdmin as I have to edit the settings table 'fixing' the netmask and external-DNS (I have my own internal DNS).

Well phpMyAdmin shows to be v 3.2.2

The install ran a LONG time, and it was hanging around on 'Saving application settings'

Out of desperation, to get things moving along, I opened another Firefox window and entered the URL http://phpMyAdmin

It worked. I have changed the table and am now ready to reboot the server (twice to get the settings changes in use, as the first time writes the files AFTER the boot).

Meanwhile an hour later, still hung on 'Saving application settings'. I will report what http://hda shows after that 2nd reboot....
