SOLVED: qbittorrent not starting

Postby thomasps » Wed Mar 28, 2018 6:34 pm

I get a service unvailable for qbittorrent. Any idea?

Code: Select all

======= app install end @ 2018-03-28 19:30:35 -0600 ========== App: qBittorrent installed Failed to start qbittorrent-nox.service: Unit qbittorrent-nox.service not found. Starting qbittorrent.service Failed to enable unit: No such file or directory Enabling qbittorrent.service Reload systemctl daemon sed: can't read /usr/lib/systemd/system/qbittorrent-nox.service: No such file or directory Your HDA services have been restarted.

Do you have access to the console (e.g. via ssh)?

If so, could you try

Code: Select all

rpm -q qbittorrent-nox
Something did not install well with this app. If you do have access then try (as root):

Code: Select all

dnf -y install qbittorrent-nox

I am having the same issue with Qbittorrent getting "Service Unavailable"

Code: Select all

[nkometscher@hda ~]$ sudo dnf -y install qbittorrent-nox Last metadata expiration check: 0:39:01 ago on Thu Mar 29 17:14:01 2018. Package qbittorrent-nox-1:4.0.1-1.fc25.x86_64 is already installed, skipping. Dependencies resolved. Nothing to do. Complete!

No luck... even after reinstalling:

Code: Select all

[tspeidel@hda ~]$ sudo systemctl restart qbittorrent-nox.service [sudo] password for tspeidel: Failed to restart qbittorrent-nox.service: Unit qbittorrent-nox.service not found.

I'll second this issue. Just started happening recently. Service had worked fine until today. Tried reinstalling with no luck. Seeing same issue in logs.

sed: can't read /usr/lib/systemd/system/qbittorrent-nox.service: No such file or directory
Reload systemctl daemon
Enabling qbittorrent.service
Failed to enable unit: No such file or directory
Starting qbittorrent.service
Failed to start qbittorrent-nox.service: Unit qbittorrent-nox.service not found.
App: qBittorrent installed
======= app install end @ 2018-04-15 16:32:33 -0500 ==========

Made some updates to the qbittorrent App. The service should start now.

Please uninstall, then reinstall and report the results.

If you get a blank screen after accessing the app, add :8090 to the end of the URL. That should work.

I will make that change to the app if it's needed, but wanted to see how it works for other users first.

No bueno.

Uninstalled and reinstalled as requested. Same issue appears present. Everything looks to point back to qbittorrent-nox.service being missing. I can manually run the process qbittorrent-nox. At which point it is running and listening on port 8090.

Thanks for the assist.
