I have installed ProFTPd to a Fedora 23 / Amahi 9 server and when I try to connect with Filezilla within the building I get the following error:

530 Login incorrect.

Here is my login information on Filezilla:

Host: Local IP of the server
Username: test (I created this user before installing ProFTPd.)
Password: proftpd
Port: 21

Am I missing something?

By the way: I noticed in the ProFTPd web interface under Configure > filepaths there is a warning:

The file you've specified do not seem to exist - adjust the value of this field and supply the full path to the kernel configuration. The various Linux-distributions have different locations of placing this file, but you should atleast consider trying "/boot/config" or "/usr/src/linux/.config". The various BSD-variations, if I'm not mistaken, usually place this file in "/usr/src/sys/i386/conf/GENERIC".

The current setting is /boot/config-`uname -r`

Don't know if that has to do with anything.

I got it to login. It was a permissions error that turned out to me my fault. I will fill out the bug report on the other.
