That's not the correct kernel version I posted. Not sure why you have a different kernel version than my machine.

Recommend you uninstall the app and then check to see that nothing is left behind. The OpenVPN package should still be installed as the openvpn.service.

Mine now reflects 3.14.23-100.fc19.x86_64 ,x86_64. Guess it just needed a reboot.

OpenVPN Server is working on mine still. Not sure what is up with yours though. There has to be something in the logs to help. Check the amahi-app-installer log for clues.

Dec 17 18:49:57 localhost openvpn[1117]: /usr/sbin/openvpn: symbol lookup error: /usr/sbin/openvpn: undefined symbol: pkcs11h_openssl_session_getEVP

This is the only clue I can find.
There are no errors or clues in the installation logs.
Oonly that the file was downloaded from cache, can I clear this cache?

Is there a place were settings stay behind after an uninstall that i Can remove manually?

I solved it by doing
Uninstall openvpn
Remove everything with openvpn that was leftover
Reboot
Yum update
Reboot
Uninstall zoneminder
Install openvpn

Now it's working again and the status is also "Running"

On my remote server I cannot uninstall openvpn until I am on location, so in the mean time I am not going to mess with that machine.

Interesting. Glad you got it working. Can you post what you removed for clean up? Might need to add to the wiki for future troubleshooting.

The only thing I could find was /var/log/openvpn-status.log only accessible by root. I removed that just to be sure, but I think the yum update was the real solution

on mu remote amahi server I tried a yum update followed by a reboot, but no result. Openvpn works but the status is stopped. I am not going to try anything more on that computer as I do not want to break the working openvpn

Understand. The server status may correct itself. Depending on when you installed OpenVPN, it may have been updated and that's why you are experiencing these issues.
