SOLVED: Zoneminder initial login info

Postby dannyoleson » Mon Nov 24, 2014 10:24 pm

Hi there -
I just installed Zoneminder, and I saw no info regarding default login info when I did the one-click install. I can't find anything on forums or anything, either. My hda user account info didn't work when I tried that. What are the defaults for logging into a fresh install of Zoneminder?

Thanks.

Check the special instructions on the app -> installed area in the dashboard for Zoneminder. I also must caution you that this app is not LIVE, therefore may not work or have bugs.

Yeah - that's usually where I look for default login info. However, the special instructions section just has a link to the amahi wiki for zoneminder, which also does not have login info.

I understand it may have bugs and such, but it's weird that I can't even find the info to be able to try it out after it's installed...

May need to check the vendors web site. This app has not been updated in a long time. Surprised it works.

I will see if I can find any login info in the app install script.

Sorry I was mistaken about the status of this app. Looks like it's LIVE. The login info is zm/zm. I have added it to the app as well.

Thanks for looking into that! Oddly - zm/zm isn't working. Anyway, not a big deal - I just wanted to check this application out.

I'll have to keep looking. It might be admin/zoneminder. Will let you know when I figure it out.

awesome! admin/zoneminder did it! Oddly, it's going very briefly to what looks like a correct landing page, then going straight to a 404. I guess you were right about it probably being buggy. Thanks again for checking into the login info, though!

I just installed Zoneminder and did not see a login prompt. Where do you get prompted for credentials? That may be why we never added them to t he special instructions as there should not be any required.

It's the first place I'm brought to when I go to http://zm.amahi.net/ on my internal network.

I'll try uninstall/reinstall.

EDIT - which fixed it right up. Sorry for the bother. Thanks!
