Webmin login issue

Hi
Hope someone can help me. I have installed webmin but when I try and login as root - Root Password it says login failed please try again. I have installed tin can and the login worked fine for that. Probably something simple I've not done, all a bit new to this. I've set port forwarding port 80 for 192.168.0.250 Amahi hda. DHCP is all off on the routers. I do have two routers 192.168.1.1 is the one from my isp 192.168.0.1 has everything else connected to it. I have set both up to forward port 80.
Any help would be most appreciated.
