Running Apps

Postby timcart » Sun Mar 16, 2014 4:22 pm

Hi

Just installed Amahi 7 on top of Ubuntu 12.04. All went well and Amahi seems to work perfectly. Then I installed two apps with no problems.

But then I tried to run the apps and they both went looking for URLs on the internet! For example, my home domain is hib.net and so the URL for phpsysinfo (for example) became phpsysinfo.hib.net, and that took me to http://www.hib.net (which is the site of a company selling vaccines).

Any ideas as to what is going wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help. Regards. tim

Please take a look at the troubleshooting steps.

Thanks for the response.

I tried the trouble-shooting routine and my installation passed all 13 steps without problems.

However, on reflection, I think I had two DHCP functions running when I installed the apps (although I corrected that before trying to run the apps). In any case, when I removed/reinstalled the two apps with only one DHCP running, the problem with getting an unwanted internet website disappeared.

Now one of the apps (Family Connection) is running fine but the other (phpSysInfo) is not. It gets as far as displaying a "Loading... Please wait" notice but then it just hangs. Is it possible that my server hardware (a Toshiba 4010!) is just too old to be able to respond to phpSysInfo. . . ?

Regards. tim
