A new version 3.6.3 is coming out the next days and here it says that a version of Java might require an uninstall and then a fresh install:

How can I make sure that I am not losing settings on my HDA?

Unless you allow it to update, there should not be any issues.

Does the web site mention how it affects any existing installs? This is not an Amahi specific issue, so not much we can do from our end. Our only control is with the initial install and what you might change.

What I would want to know from CrashPlan folks is will the update be forced or is it optional?
