Hello bigfoot,

Thank you for filling me in on complexities of being a sysadmin for a mail server. I started my research and realized that if i were to go that way I will have to do continuous maintenance.

Now, if my goal is to be able to own my email data, do i have any other options?

I am sorry to say, there are no other options that I am aware.

Even if you ran your own email server, there is always a trace somewhere in the cloud.
