Missing Webapp button Amahi 7
Re: Missing Webapp button Amahi 7
I cannot get this to work. I have done the copy/paste method AND punched it all in by hand. Everything goes fine, but with the web browser I cannot access the index.html file that I created. I have even gone as far as doing a complete reload of Fedora 19 with Amahi 7, and it still just won't come up. I wonder if there is a problem with my configuration somewhere because I also have a web app (installed outside of Amahi) to control my raid card that won't come up. I have followed the tutorial to a tee several times now, double checking everything. What else could be wrong?
Re: Missing Webapp button Amahi 7
Did you set the permissions of the index.html file, i.e. owned by apache:users?

Re: Missing Webapp button Amahi 7
I'm sure of it. Just to double check, I just did it all again. When I type in http://website OR http://website.domain.com I get 'could not find website'. When I type in http://hda/website I get 'the page you were looking for doesn't exist'.
Under Amahi setup>Network>DNS Aliases, it does show 'website'. But clicking the links there do not work either (the only ones that do are 'router', 'hda', and 'setup'). The rest go to 'the page you were looking for does not exist'. If I click on the link for Calendar, I get a Fedora Test Page.
Like I said, I don't know if there is something wrong or something else that needs to be configured for this to work.

Could be DNS is not working with your client. Might want to check that and maybe check out network troubleshooter in the wiki.

Re: Missing Webapp button Amahi 7
Ok, I know it's not the correct way of doing this, but I found a solution:
I installed the 'Solitaire" app (one that I would never use) from the HDA setup page, then changed the solitaire.conf file to point to my index.html file
Now when I type in http://solitaire it displays my website
Thanks for your help!

Re: Missing Webapp button Amahi 7
True, that is a solution. I would be interested to find out why the other way did not work for you. I have done it many times with no issues.
Is it possible you missed a step or did something incorrectly?
