Accessing eXtplorer remotely

I have installed eXtplorer via one-click-install on my HDA. Now I also used the wiki "http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Hosting_a_website" and then how to host a single webapp. What I would like to achieve is that I can reach eXtplorer from the outside, e.g. to delete pictures in my Pictures Share while @ work...lunch break of course :)

I've followed that wiki before with subsonic and was able to access it from outside but it uses the port 4040. Now eXtplorer uses which port? If it was simply 80 then I fear that there are a couple apps using that port and hence I cannot reach it by that port from the outside. Any help?

Cheers,
T.

It does use port 80, so if you have any other apps exposed on that port it will not work. I recommend you try OpenVPN ALS.

http://www.amahi.org/apps/openvpn-als

This is a clientless VPN (only need web browser on client) and uses https for access to files. It runs on port 4443 so should be no conflicts.
