Hi,
I mistakenly deleted the /var/lib/transmission/ directory thinking it would automatically restore itself when reinstalling transmission, but it didn't. Is there anyway to restore the directory or do I have to reinstall Amahi? Sorry, I'm new at this...
Thanks,

Re: HELP Mistakenly Deleted /var/lib/transmission/ directory
So if you uninstall Transmission from the applications tab and then install it again it doesn't show up?
Feels like it should. Prehaps the uninstall script fails due to the fact that it expects the folder to be there and thus the application never gets "uninstalled"?
I don't have access to the Amahi application settings and can't look at it. But the packager should know. Drop him a line asking him to answer the question here so others in your situation will be able to find the answer.

Re: HELP Mistakenly Deleted /var/lib/transmission/ directory
That is correct, the folder /var/lib/transmission/ no longer exists no matter if I uninstall/reinstall transmission and there's no indication on the UI that the uninstall/reinstall process in unsuccessful. If I can't figure it out, I'm simply going to have to reinstall Amahil.

Re: HELP Mistakenly Deleted /var/lib/transmission/ directory
Hello,
Before you reinstall Amahi, there is another way. Ensure there the following folder exists:
/var/hda/web-apps/transmission
If it does not, once you create it, the app uninstall should work.
You will also need to do this as root user in terminal:
Once both of those are done, you should be able to reinstall.

Re: HELP Mistakenly Deleted /var/lib/transmission/ directory
Hi, just wanted to let you know that I tried the above but the /var/lib/transmission/ directory never reappeared, therefore, I wasn't able to make any changes in the .config/transmission-daemon/settings.json directory, so i decided to reinstall Amahi. Everything is good so far...
Thanks,

Re: HELP Mistakenly Deleted /var/lib/transmission/ directory
I have a similar problem. I accidentally deleted some transmission files and cannot get them to reinstall. Specifically, I am missing the web interface files. I have tried multiple times an uninstall and reinstall but with no luck. I also tried "yum erase amahi-transmission" then resinstall but still nothing. The files are not being installed. Transmission is starting and stopping but when I try to view the web page from the hda dashboard, I get the message "Couldn't find Transmission's web interface files!"
Update: I did get this fixed by downloading the same version, unpacking it and using the web folder.
