sickbeard downloads not showing in history of sabnzbd?

Postby kikkegek » Thu Sep 08, 2011 10:41 pm

hi guys,

I have succesfully installed sickbeard and it is now checking several shows for me.

It downloaded an episode yesterday and I noticed it does not show the show in the history of the sabnzbd history screen of the web-app...

I have configured sickbeard to control sabnzbd through the API key (so not blackhole)...is this the reason why it does not show?

No it should still work. I use the same setup and have no issues. Have you selected sabnzbd to show All and not only Failed in the history?
Do you run the version of Sabnzbd installed by the 1-click installer? Check if it says Update available in the top left. If it does you should follow that link and upgrade. It's a bit of a manual procedure, but nothing hard. You basically unpack that file and copy it over your existing directory.

I have updated mine about 4-6 times during the 6 months I have had it installed. But if you don't feel comfortable in Linux you would be better of waiting. If you haven't updated at all you are probably running quite an old version and my GUESS is that when the app receives an update it might not contain the step for upgrading from that old version. Things changed in the queue system etc. after the app was packaged. So that MIGHT mean that you will have to do a "reinstall" once a new app version is packaged.

Yes, that should be it. You unpack the sorces and replace your existing sabnzbd folder. Don't remember if I ran into a permission issue once. But that is easily rectefied if that would happen.

thanks. I guess if you unpack as root, you have to change the persmission afterwards in "apache:users"?

I think so yes. Check at your original sabnzbd folder to make sure you add the correct owner and group.
