VNC SERVER and windows realvnc client

Postby kikkegek » Sun Jul 31, 2011 11:52 pm

hi there,

I installed my Amahi yesterday and have been trying to get VNC server to work, because I have a headless setup.

I have the VNC Server installed through "one-click-setup" and I can see it is up and running in the dashboard.

when i try to connect to it through RealVNC from my windows clients. I try to connect to "hda" it will tell me :
unable to connect to the host: connection timed out (10060)
when I try to connect to "hda.xxxxx.com" (XXX being my home workgroup) i get the rror:
unable to connect to the host: connection refused (10061)
please advise....I already fixed my DNS problem yesterday, because I could not reach "http://aes.xxxx.com" but changed the DHCP and therefor DNS servers back from my router to my AMAHI server.

so this must be something else...

solved it myself.

I tried logging onto to "hda" in stead of "hda:4" as the information with the app says.

running fine now. thanks for the great app!
