i have Wordpress installed (one-click purchased version) and it runs fine from inside my home network (can get to the admin login page).

I have changed the .conf file to allow me to access my wordpress site via my username.yourhda.com address. I can get to this via the web from outside my network, when i try to log into wordpress to make changes, it cant.

Any ideas on how to make it accessible from outside my home network?

Rob

Did you follow the wiki instructions?

http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Hosting_a_website

There is a step where you need to forward port 80 to your HDA IP address.

i did the port forwarding.

It seems like i can see the /wordpress main directory, but don't have access to any of it's sub-directories.

when i go to the page youraddress.yourhda.com i just get the text and not the pictures (which are in a separate directory).

how do i allow access to the subdirectories of wordpress? or do i even want to do that??????????

Seems like this has happened before. Might do a search of the forums. I will see what I can find out about it and post here.

i figured it our - it was a wordpress setting. can change it from the general settings tab.

the one-click install sets the default wordpress directory/address as //wordpress. just changed that to ...../yourhda.com and it is now working from outsid ethe local netwrk.

thanks for the help bigfoot.

No problem. This is something we need to put in the wiki. Would you mind doing that? It would be greatly appreciated.
