So i have had a very difficult run the last few weeks. Hardware issues, then more as i try to resolve the first ones....

Bottom line is that it would be great if i could consolidate my Amahi server and MythTV backend. I know they are working on this from a Amahi Apps view but...

What issues can i expect if i just install MythTV from the repo? Will it cause problems with Amahi? What problems are the devs currently having?

No problems. Just make sure you use a unique DB.

MythTV backend is just a hairy app. It's not one-click by any means, so I do not think it will ever make it to live, as much as I would like to use that myself and make it available in Amahi, unless MythTV improves *a lot*, especially the MythWeb interface.

If you want you can test the app. Maybe you can bring ideas on how we can make it easier. We just do not want to make it look like it will be a walk in the park.
