Crashplan error in conf file

Postby jaffa » Mon Dec 13, 2010 2:55 pm

When running the script to do the Greyhole conversion to mySQL, I got this error twice:

Code: Select all

Reloading monit: /etc/monit.d/crashplan.conf:1: Error: syntax error ':'
It seems there is an error in the crashplan.conf, because opening it up gives this:

Code: Select all

translation missing: en, this_file_was_automatically_generated_on check process crashplan with pidfile /var/run/crashplan.pid start program = "/etc/init.d/crashplan start" stop program = "/etc/init.d/crashplan stop"
The first line appears to be the problem. Is this a Crashplan problem or a package problem? I assume a simple fix will be to just comment out that first line.

EDIT: Seems this isn't limited to Crashplan, Amahi-dlna also has it. I guess it's a package thing, I'll look for how to report these to the creators.

This has been fixed with the release of

Code: Select all

hda-platform-5.6.9
currently propagating through the repos.

You can update directly with:

Code: Select all

rpm-Uvh http://f12.amahi.org/noarch/hda-platform-5.6.9-1.noarch.rpm
We accidentally released bits into the f12 repo from a (f14) development tree. Thankfully, the dependencies saved us and there were no packages actually installed.

Thanks bigfoot65 and jimmyh for helping track this silly error down!

I'm still having this error and I have the follow hda-platform installed:

hda-platform-5.6.11-1.noarch.rpm

Did anyone find a fix for this problem? I am on 5.6.11-1 as well and am still getting this error also.

"Starting monit: /etc/monit.d/crashplan.conf:1: Error: syntax error ':'"

Crashplan server state shows 'Stopped'.

Thanks.
