Application Error!!!!! HELP!!

Postby dombooth » Sat Oct 30, 2010 6:53 am

Hi all,

Whenever i attempt to access the hda i get the error message...

"Application error
The application has found an error. You will be forwarded shortly."

Attached is the print screen,

It just keeps refreshing the page,

It wont let me access anything from it.

Any suggestions appreciated!
Cheers

Looks like you do not have connectivity. Please try the network troubleshooter and report back the results.

That is surprising. What make/model is it? Have you googled to see if/how to turn it off? I have not encountered one yet that you could not disable it, but there is always a first.

CMD on the client gives this VVVV

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Users\Dominic Booth>nslookup hda
Server: hda.booth.co.uk
Address: 192.168.1.2

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: hda
Address: 67.215.65.132

C:\Users\Dominic Booth>

Whereas the network troubleshooting thing says it should be this VVV

Server: 192.168.1.2
Address: 192.168.1.2#53

Name: hda.booth.co.uk
Address: 192.168.1.2

Is it right or..?

You need to refresh IP for all clients after you turn off the router DHCP server. The wiki has lots of useful info that might help you.

Hi,

It doesn't seem to want to get an IP, could i just use manual IP settings so it uses the server for DNS? (Below)
for example
IP Address - 192.168.1.X
Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway - 192.168.1.1
DNS - 192.168.1.2

Could i do this?
