When I try to log into the Joomla admin page with the supplied username and password of "admin", I receive a login failure. I have tried running the SQL statement to reset the admin password but when I log into the DB to look at the user table, there is nothing listed. Is anyone else having this issue? I would appreciate some help on this.

It sounds as if the install did not complete correctly. I would recommend you uninstall the app, then do a reboot, followed by a reinstall.

Before you reinstall, please check the /var/hda/web-apps directory for a file called joomla.sql. If it exists, remove it.
