The Guacamole page does not even come up with this:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule (.*) http://192.168.1.10:8080 [R,L]
Could the fact that this uses a mysql database (and java) for managing users and password authentication be causing this problem?

Is there something in this:
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks +ExecCGI
AddHandler fcgid-script .fcg
AllowOverride FileInfo Limit Options Indexes
Order allow,deny
Allow from all

that will not work with mysql authentification. (This is only coming from a little reading on the net and having no idea of which I speak :-))

Don't see how any of that would affect it. You are trying to access from inside your network, correct? I am guessing there is something we are overlooking that is causing the issue.

Maybe try replacing the IP address with hda and see if that makes a difference.

Yes, I am trying to access it from inside the local area network.
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule (.*) http://hda [R,L]
No luck.

Does it need some sort of ProxyPass / Reverse ProxyPass in the ####-guacamole.conf file? (Again, guessing from reading https://httpd.apache.org/docs/trunk/rewrite/avoid.html and http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9414 ... ot-working) If it did how would I begin to format it?

Did you include the port number in the .htaccess file? I don't think the proxy pass will make a difference. It could be the port number causing the issue. It's best not to use 8080 and that is often tied to 80 which will be the dashboard.

Got it! Something "clicked" in my head and I thought to add the "guacamole" directory to the path in the .htaccess.
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule (.*) http://%{HTTP_HOST}:8080/guacamole [R,L]
I had to restart the server completely but everything started working.

Two things:
1. If you will start a "Guacamole on Amahi" wiki, I will document things there when I get a chance.

2. Discovered something disappointing. In order to get RDP protocol working it needs FreeRDP 1.0 or higher. The default for Fedora 14 is 0.8.2-1. Guacamole documentation says, "You will need to build and install a recent version of FreeRDP, and then build and install libguac-client-rdp from source." I could not find any information on building FreeRDP 1.0 for Fedora 14. Do you think it is possible?

Glad to hear it's working now. With Fedora 14 being end of life, I would doubt you could get FreeRDP working.

I could be wrong though. May have to ask in the Guacamole forums for assistance.

Now I would like to make Guacamole accessable outside the LAN. How can I do that? I have tried forwarding some port but had no luck.

That may be a little more challenging. You should be able to forward the port is uses and access via http://username.yourhda.com:port

I am having trouble finding which port to use. I tried 8080 and got nothing. Any trick you would suggest for finding out the port?

What port does the app currently run on? Forward that to any number, something like 8081 should work fine.
