32 bit install of uTorrent fails to start
Re: 32 bit install of uTorrent fails to start
Thanks for the effort Bigfoot, but as you suspected, this doesn't solve 64 bit issues. Do you have any idea how to install those files on a 64 bit install? I've been trying to figure it out for a week now.
Re: 32 bit install of uTorrent fails to start
I'll try to dig it up. It requires installing missing 32bit binaries.
Dakka dakka dakka....boom.
Re: 32 bit install of uTorrent fails to start
Yeah... I've found some stuff out there about Ubuntu but Fedora info on getting those installed seems sparse.
Re: 32 bit install of uTorrent fails to start
Bump for great justice. Can't start with utserver either, same error as before: "/var/hda/web-apps/utorrent/html/utserver
/var/hda/web-apps/utorrent/html/utserver: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
This is after I've created the symlink and the symlink exists, and to be clear - I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

Re: 32 bit install of uTorrent fails to start
On x86_64 (ExpressCD), I had to also install the 32bit version of openSSL to get utorrent working. So the steps were...
Install uTorrent normally through Amahi Apps, the on the console as root...
After that it's happily chugging along downloading, with a little help from the uTorrent Status Tool firefox addon.

Code: Select all
yum install libgcc.i686
yum install glibc.i686
yum install openssl.i686
ln -s /usr/lib/libssl.so.10 /usr/lib/libssl.so.0.9.8
ln -s /lib/libcrypto.so.10 /lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.8
/etc/init.d/utorrent start

Re: 32 bit install of uTorrent fails to start
Yup, the yum install openssl.i686 needs to be added to the wiki. That's what installs libssl.so.10.
