Not sure what the issue could be. Can you check the /var/log/amahi-app-install.log for errors. Also, what version of Fedora are you using? Have you done all the Fedora updates?

Uninstall the app, then do the following command as root user:

rm -rf /var/hda/web-apps/recipedb.sql

Now, try to install the app again and see if it works.

I have been unable to duplicate your problem thus far. Any additional information you can provide about your system would be greatly appreciated.

Now it works fine. thanks a lot for your support

But I have lost all information on this application. There are any way to do a backup for all information on this application, like personalized menus "Course;Base" and the recipes. To prevent situations like this one. Because i already try to use the backup from this application and this tool doesn't work fine. When i try to upload the file from the backup and error occurred with lines on xml format.

if you know other process to do a backup please tell me

Best regards

Kaneco,

I am so sorry you lost your data. There are a few options to save it. One, you could install phpMyBackup (http://www.amahi.org/apps/phpmybackup) which will backup mysql tables for all apps you select. It stores them locally, but you can copy them to a different location if you want.

You can also use other apps like Adminer (http://www.amahi.org/apps/adminer) or phpMyAdmin (http://www.amahi.org/apps/phpmyadmin) to do the same thing. Each will give you the opportunity to backup your app database files.

We are currently working on a backup feature for Amahi that will backup your app database files on a regular basis. Not sure when it will be available, but the options above will keep your data safe.

Hope this helps and again, sorry you lost all your data.

Hello Big Foot

Thanks for your information about the backups.

Other question, I think this problem was related to the automatic updates, can you please tell me in your opinion is better to do this updates or not.

Best regards

Updates are important as they typically fix bugs in the applications. We have tried to protect user data as much as possible for upgrades, but sometimes things don't work as designed.

If you update an app in the future, recommend you perform a database backup. This will ensure if something does not work, you can always restore your data.
