I just noticed today that Feng Office 1.6.2 just showed up on the Available Apps page. I uninstalled OpenGoo, since I was not fully in to it yet, I installed Feng Office. When I run it from my server console or one of my Fedora clients I get a blank page when I connect to it. No errors or redirects to the Internet, just a blank page.
Did I install it too soon?
Feng Office Installation
Re: Feng Office Installation
I just had a look at it and it works OK for me. I wonder if it is somethign to do with your opengoo install that is hanging around and interfering?

Re: Feng Office Installation
I reintalled feng office, restarted the server, and just checked under the web-apps directory in the foffice subdirectory. Under the config directory the config.php file still contains references to opengoo. I don't know if this is correct or not.
I changed all opengoo references to foffice. I still get a blank page when I use the server console or one of my fedora clients. The blank page URL is resolved to the long URL for the application and server.
Also I checked the database setups. In the foffice database there is a reference to an foffice user. There are no tables created for the application.
What other setups might have been over looked?

Re: Feng Office Installation
I was just on the Feng Office web site. I looked in to a debug section of the installation manual. they indicated that a blank page is usually an indication of an error. they have an instruction on how to turn debug mode on. I did it and it indicated that the companies table was missing from the database.
1. you mentioned that your installation is working. could you please post a copy of your foffice config.php file?
2. can you look at your database in to foffice to see if any tables exist?

Re: Feng Office Installation
Here's something to try. When you uninstalled OpenGoo it backed up your existing installation. So that may be part of the cause. This is done as part of the upgrade process so you can keep your existing files and settings.
Recommend you uninstall Feng Office. Then check /var/hda/web-apps and look for opengoo.sql opengoo.tar.gz or foffice.sql and foffice.tar.gz and remove them. These are backups made when you uninstall.
Then ensure you clear your browser cache and reinstall Feng Office. Hopefully this will clear up your issue. You may also contact me at bigfoot65.amahi@gmail.com if needed. I would like to get this corrected for you

Re: Feng Office Installation
Ok! It's now working. Removing the old backup files and reinstalling works. Except for one thing. The problem on the network clients being redirected to OpenDNS is still there. So I went to the foffice config directory and put the long URL name in to config.php. Now I can get in to it with the fedora clients.
That's all folks!

Great! Another happy user
I don't know what the problem is with long URL. It should work automatically. Might be something more we need to check for dns.
