Uninstall phpMyAdmin

Remove everything in the cache.

as root, cd to the cache location:

Code: Select all

cd /tmp/amahi-download-cache/
and remove everything:

Code: Select all

rm *
and answer y to all.

Try to install again.

as root, cd to the cache location:
cd /tmp/amahi-download-cache/
and remove everything:
rm *
for the record, this does not accomplish much. if it did, it would be a bug.

the app cache was implemented and tested pretty thoroughly.

in fact, one simple way to test it is:

Code: Select all

cd /tmp/amahi-download-cache/ sha1sum *
you should see two identical columns at all times.
if there are any corruptions in the download (unlikely), the file will be discarded prior to use and re-downloaded.

you can try corrupting one file (echo "foo" > filename), and see if the installer will take it. it should not.

again, this should not be necessary (otherwise it's a bug!!).

Maybe tomorrow I can try to remove it and try again...

But I would rather get my first XP pro system in the domain working and work on the email stuff.

you should not need to remove the cached files.

also, we updated phpmyadmin to the latest, because they changed the release file from under us.
try reinstalling.

I just installed it on my server where I had manually installed it. It did not perform an update, rather an install.

Now I have an app: phpMyAdmin1

OK. I will leave it at this. And get on with things.

It did this because http://phpmyadmin is currently used somewhere else. If you created your own web-app then that is probably why, it didnt get deleted.

Or it simply didnt remove when uninstalled or installed half way.
