What OS, Fedora or Ubuntu? AES does not work with Ubuntu as noted by it's app status.

Both OSes have their advantages/disadvantages. If you really need AES, then Fedora is your only option. Many of the same apps are LIVE for both.

I personally like Fedora better, but Ubuntu works well too. We hope to have Amahi 7 on Fedora 18 done soon, but unsure if AES will work without modification. The app contributor who built it has not made any changes in quite some time. Not sure if he will return for Amahi 7 or not.

Sorry that you are unable to use this app.

The way our app store works, there is a disclaimer when purchasing any app that is not LIVE. Did you see it?

It is also important that you make note of the app status for the app you are interested in buying so as to not purchase one that is broken. Each app has a list of OSes supported on the right side of the screen, color coded to reflect it's status. If it's not GREEN, recommend you do not buy it.

I'm not poor now and i'm more interested in a better market but it's not really nice to see apps offered that are stated as "Alpha" wich means for me, that it's not stable but functional.

Then there should be a warning, that it's not available.

There could also be a sorting mechanism for newly added apps :)

The reason these apps are listed is by request of the Amahi community. Users wanted to see what apps are being worked and will become available in the future.

Many of the BETA apps work, but may not be the latest version. Many users wanted access to these apps, so we have them exposed as well providing you have an Amahi Premium subscription plan or have been selected as a tester.

I know that probably does not make you feel better, but it's the reason you see these apps. We are trying to make it easier for all to see the status of an app so they are not purchased for those that have a convenience fee.

The key is to check the status before purchase. W hope to eventually constrain these apps from being purchased. For now, some users buy them and then manually work them on their HDA to meet their needs.
