can't get to apps

Have the plug edition installed and running and have made no changes to the default configuration. I can access via http://hda from any computer on my LAN and browse the shares. I also have access to the internet via the Amahi server. However, when I try to go to http://<appname>, the browser searches for <appname>.<mydomain> and returns an error that it can't find the URL.

I can't ping <mydomain> from within the LAN even though I have turned off DHCP and DNS on my router, restarted httpd on the Amahi server and rebooted other computers. I also can't VPN to the server from outside the network, getting the error that host is unknown.

Hello,

This sounds like a DNS issue. Recommend you try the network troubleshooter to help shed some light on the problem.

Tried this earlier today and it gagged at step 4 (no dns on the server).

How do I go about activating dns?

Please understand that we do not support Fedora 12 any longer. You may receive limited help with this due to the minimal number of users with plug devices. Also might be better to post in the plug forum that way other plug users can help.

We do not have a Fedora 14 version for the plug and not sure we will. I don't believe the core is available from Fedora yet either.
